There are two letters in the envelope when it arrives. The first is a terse note in an elegant script.


Sinclair -

I have read your letter explaining yourself and have given the next course of action a great deal of thought. I am sorry for the situation you find yourself in but that does not excuse you.

If you're looking for absolution you'd do well to look to a higher power because you will not find it here.

Five generations Sinclair. Five generations of Montgomerys have taught, almost all of them within these walls and not one has ever been so much as accused of inappropriate behavior in any regard much less with a student! I can't begin to tell you how disgusted this has made the whole family.

It's one thing to throw your own future, your reputation, your livelihood away but how DARE YOU throw ours as well?

I think it would be best if you keep your distance for the time being from the family and especially from Raegan as she has to live in the school with the mess you've made.

We had so much hope for your future. I am just grateful that Mother and Father did not live to see what you've become.

After consideration of the facts presented by none other than your own admission it is my decision that a letter will be included in your records detailing your dismissal from Hogwarts and recommending that you not be given another teaching position or any position requiring you to work with children in any capacity. Copies of this letter will be sent to Hogwarts, Durmstrang and every reputable magic school in the wizarding world.

You were educated and trained here within these walls and it is with great sorrow that these actions must be taken in order to preserve the reputation of our school.

It is our fervent hope that you find the help you so obviously need.
